Just curious. The Forums here do not seem to have much traffic and a number of people have posted questions and/or advise and received no or limited responses, so where DOES everyone go online to talk about plants and resources and such in the Portland OR area.
The reason I am posting this is I need someone on a regular basis since I am getting to old (79) to maintain my garden as I would like and would like to find someone that appreciates plants as much as I do and not a Mow, Blow and Go company though there is nothing wrong with that if its all you need.
I live in the NW Oak Hills area.

Hi Gus,
Thank you for your question. The forums are for HPSO members and sometimes there is a lot of response and others there is not as much. I'm not personally aware of anyone that could assist you in your area but what we can do is put your question in the next HPSO newsletter and see if you get some responses.
Thank you,
Vicki Green
I'm a new director on the board and am looking forward to serving. I have a one garden that is aprox. 8 years old.

Thanks very much Vicki. Not only would it be helpful to have sources for assistance but it would also be helpful to know of reasonably priced sources for plant materials. I am in the process of landscaping a traffic circle where I have a cabin and will be using native plants that I am getting from the Underwood Conservation District in White Salmon WA since the circle I am talking about is in Stevenson WA. They sell native plants here:

Hi Gus,
Have you checked out the Westside Study Group? The regional study groups are a great way to meet fellow HPSO gardeners who live near you. The Westside Study Group describes their small group as one that helps foster personal friendships with other members who share a passion for plants and gardens.

They might be back to their usual Thursday morning get-togethers. If you're interested in learning more, you can reach out to Liz Wiersema, [email protected], who is the contact for the group. I know she would love to add you to their roster.

Take care,
Beth
