If you have a collection of plastic pots that you don't want, please do not throw them out or recycle them without first trying to give them away on Craigslist. Small nurseries and gardeners with greenhouses are often looking for plastic pots on the "Free" section of Craigslist. My pots usually find a new home within a few hours of my posting them for free.

My local Master Gardener extension will take them for their annual plant sale. They like the thicker, more durable one gallon pots. I rinse them out and drop them off at the extension office.
