I'm going to try using a dusting of blood meal this year. It worked for deer. It will probably work for rabbits, too, since the concept is the same - making the foliage unappetizing. The plus side: Blood meal is a mild fertilizer that benefits the plants. The down side: Blood meal powder will wash off in the rain and requires another application to be effective. Plus, the smell isn't nice when it's wet. |
