Recently rabbits have not just grazed the lawn, as in previous years, but are tearing it up. Kind of like thatching only worse. Does anyone know of an effective repellent?

Thanks in advance.

I'm going to try using a dusting of blood meal this year. It worked for deer. It will probably work for rabbits, too, since the concept is the same - making the foliage unappetizing. The plus side: Blood meal is a mild fertilizer that benefits the plants. The down side: Blood meal powder will wash off in the rain and requires another application to be effective. Plus, the smell isn't nice when it's wet.
